Permits have been filed to convert two-story structure into a six-story mixed-use building at 965 Bedford Avenue in Bedford Stuyvesant, Brooklyn. Located between Dekalb and Willoughby Avenues, the lot is three blocks from the Classon Avenue subway station, serviced by the G train. Jacob Scherman of Homeland Property Group LLC is listed as the owner behind the applications.

The proposed 65-foot-tall development will yield 19,586 square feet, with 17,041 square feet designated for residential space, 1,905 square feet for commercial space, and 639 square feet for community facility space. The building will have 13 residences, most likely condos based on the average unit scope of 1,310 square feet. The steel-based structure will also have a cellar and a 35-foot-long rear yard.

Infocus Design and Planning is listed as the architect of record.

Demolition permits will likely not be needed as the project calls for an expansion. An estimated completion date has not been announced.
